Plus énergique que jamais, UP Festival revient à Wolubilis entraînant dans son sillage la compagnie de cirque EIA. Chez ces catalans, couverts de prix à travers l’Europe, tout est dans le nom de leur compagnie : EIA pour «Elans Imprévus Accordés ». Dix ans d’expérience en collectif, 4 créations, 700 représentations dans 25 pays et un dénominateur commun: mettre au coeur de chaque création un type de relation humaine. Cette fois-ci, ils explorent la relation de couple-duo, quoi de plus naturel pour des acrobates de main à main dont le contact avec l’autre est quotidien. Tout en sauts, portés et fantaisies, ils nous promettent un spectacle faisant la part belle au « nous » et nous invitent à partager une expérience humaine.
UP Festival komt energieker dan ooit terug naar Wolubilis met in zijn kielzog deze keer het circusgezelschap van EIA. Deze Catalanen vielen in heel Europa in de prijzen en geven alles over zichzelf prijs in hun naam: EIA staat namelijk voor Élans Imprévus Accordés (Toevallig op elkaar afgestemde sprongen). Samen zijn ze goed voor tien jaar ervaring, vier creaties en 700 voorstellingen in 25 landen. Hun gemene deler: in elke creatie een specifieke menselijke relatie centraal plaatsen. Deze keer ontdekken ze de wereld van het koppel-duo. Voor hand-to-hand acrobaten is er niets natuurlijker dan het fysieke contact. Elke dag opnieuw moeten ze peilen naar de gemoedstoestand van de ander en moeten ze leren omgaan met de fysieke last en de emoties van hun partner. Al springend, liftend en fantaserend beloven ze een spektakel volledig gewijd aan “ons” en nemen hun publiek op sleeptouw voor een op en top menselijke beleving.
More energetic than ever, UP Festival is set to return to Wolubilis, this time with the EIA circus company in tow. For these Catalans, who have garnered awards throughout Europe, everything they stand for is encapsulated in their name ‘EIA’, short for « Élans Imprévus Accordés », or randomly attuned leaps. They have racked up ten years of experience and four creations between them, which translate into 700 performances in 25 countries, putting a specific type of human relationship at the heart of each creation as the common thread. This time, they explore the couple-duo relationship. After all, what could be more natural for hand-to-hand acrobats, whose contact with the other is on a daily basis and who are in constant consideration of the partner’s state of mind, physical strength and emotions… With plenty of jumps, lifts and fantasies, they promise us a show that gives pride of place to «us» and invites us to share a human experience.
